Christmas Day

We had a lovely peaceful Christmas day, with just our family. The kids enjoyed opening their presents (of course!). We sang some carols, read the Bible story about Jesus' birth, had a roast lunch, played some games together, and went for a walk.

Snow

Here are some of my favourite snow photos this winter - in no particular order.

This one was taken on Christmas morning, with the sun rising. There was snow everywhere, and it looked amazing with the sun shining on it. We had a beautiful clear blue sky. I took the photo from our front door, so you see a bit of our driveway.

This photo was taken one day last week after a heavy snow. We found some kids snow shovels at the shops, and decided to get them out of the house, working. You can kinda see the snowflakes still falling. Sometimes they are really little, and sometimes it is amazing how large the flakes are.

This was the last day of school, which was cancelled because of the snow. The kids were all disappointed because they were going to have parties at school, but they enjoyed getting out with their friends. The girl in this photo is Rachel, who is our new neighbour from Australia. She is 9, and Grace and Angie love playing with her.

This is taken outside my kitchen door, trying to capture the falling snow.
