Guess what we saw today...

Scott and I spent a few hours in the city today. It was absolutely wonderful, with a myriad of sights. We saw...

1) This is Buckingham fountain, in Grant Park. You can see Lake Michigan in the background. It is huge. At night they light it up in different colours. You can hire "Segways" and bicycles to ride along the lakeshore.

2) We went to the Art Institute of Chicago and were amazed to see originals by Monet, Picasso, Cezanne, Manet, Rodin, Seurat, Corot, and others. We were bubbling inside with excitement!

3) At an inner city, gourmet "foodhall" we saw this version of the American staple...

Hey Kate, am really enjoying reading your blog. Hope you had a great time with Lysbeth and Francis the other week! We went to Sydney a week or so ago and used the port-a-cot for Grace. She looked so small in it! It was great to have it so thanks so much for passing it on to us!

Hi darlings. What is a "segway"?? The art gallery sounds great. It would be lovely to see originals of the Impressionists, especially. Thanks for all the time and effort you are spending on keeping us up-to-date! Bless you, Kate! Well done, and thanks so much.
Much love and prayers, as always,
Gayelene and John. :) :)
