Soccer
The soccer season has started. Dante is in a team with kids in grade 3 & 4, so it was a fun game to watch. He did really well. He played goalie for one quarter, with Dad standing next to the net offering "encouragement".
Grace and Angie have a squad of 6 girls, most of the from their classes at school. They play three a side, with no goalie. They were so excited, and both did really well. Their team is called the blue ladybugs. Scott and I had a new aspect added to our parenthood as "soccer parents". I think we did a good job. We got them there on time with all the right gear. Cheered loudly without going overboard. Took lots of photos and video. Met some of the other parents, and didn't abuse the coach or umpire.

Hi Everyone, Dante, you are getting so tall. I hope you are enjoying soccer. Grace and Angie, your game looks pretty fun too.
And Angie, look at you, what a big grown up girl losing a tooth.
KAte, I want no stories of umpire abuse- okay?!
What a family of champions!
Dante looks terrific and well done for your skills. It must be good to have your Dad close by to cheer you on.
Grace and Angela are also playing - no spectators here! Congratulations to the athletes and to the supporting staff. Your comportment on and off the field is meritorious. Thank you one and all.
Our love as ever,
Pa and Granny xo xo xo xo xo xo
