After experiencing a few leeks with all the rain over the summer, the owner decided to get a new roof done. Of course the kids are fascinated, but we have to keep them safe from the bits getting thrown off the roof into the bin.
So pleased this has been done, Kate! You were very patient and it certainly needed doing for you. It must have been such fun for the children to watch- hope they didn't get any ideas about climbing and the view from the top! :)
"owie" - any cut or scratch "go potty" - something you continue to do even when you are five, ... or even more? "..come with" in various forms. they leave off the pronoun at the end "scootch" - move over "cell phone" instead of mobile "dead" battery instead of flat "cookie" for a biscuit "biscuit" = scone "playdate" when you have a friend over "under-nighter" when the playdate includes dinner, but not actually staying overnight "junior/senior/freshman/sophmore" years 9-12 at school, and I think they use it again for "college" = uni including accomodation, because nearly everyone moves out for college
"fortnight" is not used and they have no idea what you mean
