Of course there is beauty in watching the rain. We thought Grace was playing in the garage, but then we looked out the window to see our creative girl enjoying the moment.
That's golden! I'll be sure to show it to all my friends in London when they next complain about the rain! Oh to see the world through children's eyes again.
"owie" - any cut or scratch "go potty" - something you continue to do even when you are five, ... or even more? "..come with" in various forms. they leave off the pronoun at the end "scootch" - move over "cell phone" instead of mobile "dead" battery instead of flat "cookie" for a biscuit "biscuit" = scone "playdate" when you have a friend over "under-nighter" when the playdate includes dinner, but not actually staying overnight "junior/senior/freshman/sophmore" years 9-12 at school, and I think they use it again for "college" = uni including accomodation, because nearly everyone moves out for college
"fortnight" is not used and they have no idea what you mean

How fantastic! It seems like our little one is taking after your ever-growing one in more ways than one!
That's just spectacular!
Tell Gracie she makes Uncle Pete smile a lot.
