My parents have come to visit. Yeah! Mum is going to stay here to help Scott while I am back in Melbourne for my friend's wedding. So this blog is for my brothers (do you guys read my blog???) to show them that Mum and Dad made it here.

At least one of your brothers reads the blog!
Looking forward to catching up with you when you get back here Kate.
"owie" - any cut or scratch "go potty" - something you continue to do even when you are five, ... or even more? "..come with" in various forms. they leave off the pronoun at the end "scootch" - move over "cell phone" instead of mobile "dead" battery instead of flat "cookie" for a biscuit "biscuit" = scone "playdate" when you have a friend over "under-nighter" when the playdate includes dinner, but not actually staying overnight "junior/senior/freshman/sophmore" years 9-12 at school, and I think they use it again for "college" = uni including accomodation, because nearly everyone moves out for college
"fortnight" is not used and they have no idea what you mean
